March 1983 Expedition
Stein Falls, Canyon View
 

      
After leaving the cavern below
      Stein Falls, the expedition climbed out of the gorge along a
      steep, narrow ravine lined only in moss and scattered ferns.
      The ravine eventually led to this viewpoint, high above the Salmon
      River Gorge, but well below the Salmon River Trail. In this photo,
      both the spectacular lower Stein Falls and upper falls are seen.
