Seattle Skyline

Once past the Ballard Locks, the Adventurer sailed south to Elliot Bay for a visit to the downtown waterfront. In this view, the skyline appears around West Point. A closer view of the skyline, where the crew pointed out that the "small" Smith Tower, on the right in the image below, was not only the tallest building in Seattle at one time, but also the tallest west of the Mississippi.
The view below is a panorama created from nine separate images, capturing the wrap-around view of Seattle from Elliot Bay, stretching from the Space Needle on the north, to the twin sports stadiums at the south edge of the downtown. This scene was the backdrop for our first gourmet dinner on the Wilderness Adventurer.
