High Alpine Swale

High on the jagged shoulder of Park Ridge, the trail now crosses through a series of high alpine swales. Many contain tiny tarns, though most of these seasonal lakes are dry by the end of summer. Glacial action is relatively recent here, evidenced by the mounds of debris that define the swales and ponds.
