As
the trail continues to climb the north slope of Park Ridge, a
number of local landmarks come into view. Ruddy Hill can be identified
by the red cinder slopes that give the butte its name, and can
be reached by trail from Breitenbush Lake. Steep Pyramid Butte,
in the foreground, also has a short, scenic spur trail to the
summit that forks right from the PCT route at the 0.6 mile mark. |
