Flight to Glacier Bay

On day nine of the journey, the Adventurer crew arranged for a flight to Glacier bay on turbo-prop Otter seaplanes. The flight began in Juneau, with Mendenhall Glacier as the backdrop (above). From Juneau, the Otters climbed over the rugged Chilkat range (below) toward Glacier Bay.
Upon cresting the Chilkat range, the island-dotted lower reach of Glacier Bay came into view, and we decended to land at Glacier Bay Lodge, where an excursion boat would take us into the bay.
